This bronze statue by Godet is handmade and cast in the traditional Lost Wax Casting Process. This insures a quality bronze sculpture that may be passed down from generation to generation. In Greek mythology, the story goes that Psyche was a mortal that was very beautiful, that Venus the God of love was very jealous of her. Cupid, the God of Love, fell in love with Psyche, but she was not allowed to look at him. When she disobeyed, he left her. She searched so hard trying to find Cupid by doing all kinds of difficult tasks for the Venus successfully, that they allowed her to be with Cupid and made her a goddess.
